Mclovins Funk No. Uno EP is an entirely homegrown, self-produced album. Recorded by our very own Jason Ott and Justin Berger at the Hartt School of Music, this album marks the first in a series of self-produced musical endeavors by McLovins. The Album was mixed and Mastered by Matt Baltrucki (www.mattbaltrucki.com) who made each and every track shine. With intricate horn arrangements by Atticus Kelly, the band has brought their festival funk sound to the studio, making for an intimate musical party that will make anyone’s ass shake. The music on Funk No. Uno is a step in a new direction for McLovins. And like Jake Huffman belting out his lyrics in Catch The Ball, “I feel something different” and you will too.

McLovins Brooklyn Bowl Cohesive Releasive Party AJ Masthay Poster Limited Edition
Limited Edition, signed & numbered. This print celebrates our Cohesive Releasive Party at Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn, NY, where Phish Lyricist Tom Marshall and Spin Doctors Anthony Krizan will sit in as our special guests. This show will be live streamed Sunday 11/21 at 2:00 p.m. EST. Or come in person, it's all ages and free!
AJ says, "We do not create any second editions from the original plates. The fact is, we couldn't if we wanted to. The technique used for our linoleum block prints is called a reduction print. This means that the same linoleum plate is carved away between colors creating an overlap of colors on the actual print. Therefore, the plates self destruct through the printing process."
McLovins Saratoga Phish Preshow AJ Masthay Poster
Our second pre-show was in Saratoga Springs! This poster is also a linoleum block print, signed & numbered. The design evokes a hot summer night in upstate NY. Can you find the guitar? AJ says, "We do not create any second editions from the original plates. The fact is, we couldn't if we wanted to. The technique used for our linoleum block prints is called a reduction print.
